Letar, A Free-Spirited Designer

The Maurice Lacroix manufacture is proud to count the inspirational Thai fashion designer Letar, pseudonym of Pimnarra Sangngern, among the brand’s circle of friends. She is a personality who infuses her ethereal creations with her talent.

A woman of the world. This is how we could introduce the stylist Letar. Born in Thailand before setting sail to the United States and then Australia to continue her studies in fashion design, Letar has now returned with her suitcases filled with ideas to her dear country, Thailand, and more precisely Bangkok. “This is where I pictured setting up my brand, NARA. I wanted my collections to be created by artisans of the region while bringing my inspirations from elsewhere.” Letar’s signature? Collections whose cuts are assertive and minimalist while providing freedom of movement and undeniable craftsmanship. “I didn’t choose an easy job, but for me, it wasn’t a choice, it was a no-brainer. I’m always exploring new techniques, especially in eco-friendly fabrics, I also dream of setting up an exhibition allowing you to see the similarities between the craftsmanship used to create my clothes and art”, says the designer. For her, Maurice Lacroix’s mindset is perfectly aligned with her vision of the world. “The brand pushes people to believe in their potential. I could only find myself in this vision! Also, the AIKON collection represents power associated with design. It’s completely in line with my brand and my personality!”

Stéphane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix reinforces the artist’s statements: “We like the assertive style that Letar displays through her brand. Focused, passionate and with an open perspective on the world, she is a bright young woman whose vision is completely aligned with ours. We are looking forward to working on projects together”.
